- Story by Robert McKee
- Drawing on the Right Side of theBrain by Betty Edwards
- The Natural Way to Draw by Kimon Nicolaides

These (for the most part) academic books will teach you everything you could want to know about being a cartoonist, designer, screenwriter, production designer, or producer. Some books are better for certain fields mentioned here than others. But the more skills you learn and teach yourself from studying and copying from books, the better. Regardless of your level of talent, you will find every single one of these books is a classic in their field just about.
