Lectures in Screenwriting...Tape Recorder

I find having a tape recorder in your house with you and recording random conversations you have with people is a good way to practice writing observational dialogue between 2 or more characters. If you want to write dialogue like a Tarantino or Kevin Smith, tape recorders help...It's very difficult to remember random casual in person conversations by ear alone. One needs the aid of technology. I have an MP3 recorder but it kind of sucks and doesn't capture sound like my tape recorder does.
