How Japanese Anime and Manga single handedly RUINED Modern American Animation-Comic Art.

Here's the problem. American animation and comic book art ain't what it used to be, dudes. But then again, is it not what it used to be? Or is it just being judged by an impossibly detail oriented standard of stiffer foreign competition? Never in the history of art have so many young, children and teenage artists who aspire to be professionals abandoned their native style and instead became more highly focused on Japanese Idealism. And fail at reaching that Japanese Aesthetic Standard the vast majority of the time, which isn't surprising considering how intense the Japanese Market is. But you're not Japanese. You're a westerner, and you never will draw like the Japanese.

There's nothing wrong with Japanese Idealism in and of itself. But there is when it causes America to DE-VALUE Traditional Western art in Comics and Animation. As an American, you will never be able to compete with the Japanese level of detail. If you want to simplify or stylize your artwork, you deserve to not feel the least bit guilty about that, because the United States ISN'T JAPAN. It's a competitor of theirs, meaning we don't need approval from fans or followers or practitioners of the Japanese Pop standard to do anything. As a matter of fact, we're better off ignoring it,which is how America got to such a high level of Industry in the first place. By focusing on the Here and Now. Not the Then and There. Draw what's in your heart, not what weeaboo otaku tell you you should do to “increase the aesthetic standard”. Yeah right.

One-Star Faggots and Art World Haters.

One-Star Faggots and Art World Haters. I just cannot stand these people. Artists who don't appreciate other artists for various reasons, and who choose to be scapegoatish and mean spirited about it. No wonder I couldn't draw. I was buying in to the hater fags too much. They're a bunch of envious assholes, purely obsessed over money and being acceptable. Fags.

Art is a miracle. All art is a miracle and blessing, even if One-Star Fags don't see it that way. It's important to respect the process and effort that goes into all drawings, not just some. Anyone who knows how to make good art and knows how hard that is, isn't going to hate on anything. If your only contact with any one artist is merely telling them their art is “just awful” and “give up because I don't like you”, Well...Congratulations, your an Art Dick. Nobody likes your type. Ever.

If you think I'm publishing a lot on Amazon through Kindle NOW....Just wait.....

I was originally saving and concealing work of mine to present to agents. But then I looked at my Kindle bookshelf, and asked myself WHY? Why even BOTHER with Agents and mainstream publishers, when I'm already able to publish every major manuscript I will ever author to Amazon Kindle.

My change in aspirations from Agents to self publishing comes from recent success in the ebook industry. I'll just build off of that.

I have no commentary prepared

As one of the most influential American writers, artists, and cartoonists of American Manga and webcomics working today, I really thought I'd have more to say at this point in my career. And yet I don't. Other than thanks for reading and viewing my work. Please continue to check up on what I am doing in the future as well.

End Times has come a long way from when I first started drawing it. The audience has grown. On one of the main webcomics databases, End Times is ranked at #591 out of 25,000 different webcomics on the market. That would put End Times in the top 2.0000009% most popular comics on the internet. A lot of it has to do with the Fall of DeviantArt, where I'm quite unpopular, and social media, where I am one of the more popular personalities there (social media).
