So I was talking to my
new online female friend from my little online support network on Google, and I
was surprised how much I realized about my art simply by talking about it to
her.
For instance, though
she had nothing but positive, kind things to say about my work, if you ask me,
my comics pages are just awful compared to my sketchbook pages. I can draw
regular sketches, but when you are
required to tell stories with sequential art, it becomes 10 times
harder, and you have to learn to compensate in order to learn the skill of
making comics pages. No one's going to mentor you in comics more than likely,
unless you're REALLY, REALLY lucky. Most pro comic book artists had to teach
themselves how to draw comics, and that's an INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT THING TO DO.
