MANNNN! The cool police is messin mah chill time....

It used to be there were places in Central Florida to just drive your car to, park at, and hang out. Like Denny's, or Borders, but they closed all the good ones of those.

I miss that local atmosphere where I could just stop by at a local store like Borders, and there would be a whole section of the store for chilling, hanging out, and reading stuff, books, manga, and whatnot.....

I miss that.

People recommend Park Ave, and Park Ave is nice and all, but parking there is straight out of a  New York City Avenue, except instead of tall buildings being on the other side, there's a nice big ol' park.

Maybe I should just go back to art school in Fort Lauderdale, where ALL the cool kids go to chill.

I can always hang out in my garage. Not quite the same though.

What is my Literary Style...

It's fairly complex. I achieve MANY things in my literature. But it's impossible to sum up simply. I like the supernatural. I tend to be a masculine-feminine romanticizer of the past and all generations that came before, relying on memory and limited experience to formulate my phrases and ideas. And of course, I always emphasize freedom of expression and imagination, while also condemning crass censorship and hypercapitalist schemes. All while channeling  the revolution and rebellion of a wholesome yet still somehow very rebellious and healthy, non-dysfunctional youth and formative era of my life.

The Comics and Webcomics / Manga Self Publishing Industry...KIND of needs to get its' ACT TOGETHER....I mean, I know I'm a part of it, but that doesn't excuse all the other people and their shoddy business practices..

Here's a list of Comics Self-Publishing Players of the 2000s and Online...

My YouTube page gets more views than that place.

Don't know, never used it. Probably not much  better than WCN overall.

Good. If you like having your property stolen, and getting RIPPED OFF.

"No refunds". It costs $150 just to make your book widely available

Lulu --

Kind of shoddy in the formatting department. BUT actually one of the best choices on this list if you're just publishing for yourself and people you know. I will admit though. Create Space aside, I consider this one to be the "old reliable" of the bunch. I've published over 5 books with them. Actually, WELL over 5. I lost count. Figuring out how to format PDF Files to the upload page can be frustrating and challenging, but the final result (a printed book or comic in your hands) is well worth the effort. It's important to measure the proportions of the books you already own with a ruler to get a sense of just how big your book will be and look when it's printed up and mailed off to you....I've made some sizing errors in the past with them (or they did, not sure), and the books that got mailed to me ended up being a bit too big. That is why you have to measure the proportions and get a visual on your book BEFORE you print and order it. Good to know.

They went out of business. PLEASE NOTE, FOR THOSE LOOKING FOR A COMIXPRESS "SUBSTITUTE - REPLACEMENT", I recently found KA-BLAM, which is actually pretty decent in terms of customer service. Still waiting to review their print quality....

No publishing department. Just comics online retail. Kind of sucks. Selection of comics is okay, but it's HARDLY democratic.

This is probably the best choice outside of Lulu. Since it's Amazon backing it, at least they KIND of know what they're doing.

Oh BOY! Webcomics Nation "GOING OUT OF BUSINESS AND NEVER UPDATING OUR WEBSITE FOR 5 YEARS IN A ROW BECAUSE IT SWITCHED OWNERSHIP" Sale!!!!!

So fucking stupid. No one even  bothers to update the fucking INTRO page to that site even, let alone make it compatible with social media...

WCN/Webcomics Nation - You officially SUCK.

Depressed Darth Week

Been kind of depressed today. My parents have really been hassling me and yelling at me a lot around the house, like I'm some little "good fer nuthin" or whatever.

It's weird that my parents have been raggin on me right after yesterday, which was the day I got my  first ever request from a fan for an autograph, and someone sent me a fan email asking if I'd sign a copy of my book he wants to buy. Complete stranger, too. I don't even know who this person is.

That's the first time a FAN, (and not just family and friends) has ever asked for my autograph. for one of my books.
