Hey. Let's Talk About Women and Their Role in the Bible For a Second...

Me: Walking into room during Grammys: Hey, mom. Can you pause the TV for a second. I got a question for you. You're up on the Bible, right.

Mom: Correct.

Myself: Okay, what do you know about Mary Magdalene, from the bible? Was she a prostitute?

Mom: Yes. She was.

Myself: What??! But I was just watching a Bible conspiracy documentary, on the Military Channel, about biblical conspiracies, based on recently acquired data from the Gnostic gospels. There's all these theories  going around that Mary may NOT have been a prostitute, but instead a potential leader of the church.

Mom: WHAT??! That's nonsense.

Myself: But it's a legitimate theory. There was a lot of misogyny in the bible at the time. It's been said that the male authors of the main gospel wanted to discredit Mary from becoming a saint, so they did everything in their power to portray her...as a prostitute.

Mom: That's lies. That's Satan. Mary was a prostitute.

Myself: But MOM? Don't you see the implications of this. The power and feminism inherent in this theory, if the interpreter is not biased by traditional Christianity, and gives credence to Gnostic Scripture. What better way to discredit a powerful woman is there than by labeling and misrepresenting her as a "dirty whore". I would think you of all people, a powerful and independent woman yourself, would be someone who could appreciate the validity of a theory like this!

End of conversation

The Hypocrisy Known as American Incarceration

Honestly, I think the state government SHOULD step in and help protect family of the incarcerated who didn't aid and abet the fathers who are now incarcerated. The fact that this doesn't happen in life destroys countless children's futures, and worsens crime statistics in urbanized areas. You can't blame every social problem and pitfall on inmates and their families (by "association"). The family of a criminal isn't the one that did anything wrong, and they should not be treated as such, and expect to have a healthy or fully functional society. If the state can help keep the HOMELESS VAGRANTS in shelters, it can do the same for families of the incarcerated. The state is the one who destroys and breaks up families just as much, if not five times as much as the incarcerated themselves do. And therefore the state is destroying the lives of countless wives and children who often have done nothing wrong themselves, other than being raised by, associated with (against their will), or in anyway linked to incarcerated criminals who they very well could have often had no real control over. Just because people make bad decisions in life does NOT mean their families should always suffer unless they aided and abed the situation. With the way America is set up, jail doesn't end the world, but the world ends in jail. WHY??

LET'S DISCUSS ECONOMICS! THE FAT CATS AND THE HAVE NOTS: AN ESSAY

Here is how the current political, "free" economic, and entrepreneurial system, and TAX system works. American economics has forced us to believe that the majority of the sum of trillions of dollars in the market should go to 3 or 4 random bureaucratic red fatcat pigs, putting them at a 99% unfair advantage, making those 3 to 4 fat cats more powerful than God himself, while a few more hundred people get a few hundred or few thousand dollars, and the rest of the world, the 5 billion percent POPULATING this world, who suffer and work every day and struggle for their LIVES, to make ends meet for survival (often dying and suffering) will be left out in the cold, left to wander the streets like dogs. Technically, I'm part of that 5 billion percent. Those five million get spat on by the higher ranking few hundred, who are given instructions to spit on the 5 billion by the 3 to 4 bureaucrats.

Corporate America, The Shark, is the Ultimate Economic Predator. It PREYS on GULLIBLE Individuals like yourself. It COUNTS ON YOU to believe it's collective lies...

Don't Be Gullible.

It is your responsibility as a consumer to just know the Corporate World is ALWAYS LYING. They view it as the opposite of their best interest to ever tell you the real truth, about money, about their budgets, about what they DO WITH their budget, and their relationship and manipulation of their employees.

You're better off assuming everyone is lying to you than you are assuming anyone's telling the truth.

Don't Be Gullible.

R.I.P. Twitter feed

It really is a shame Twitter never renegotiated my contract for me to get paid to keep you alive.

Shame you had to die because no one paid me to keep you alive. It really is.

You really only have yourself to blame for not offering banner ads to accounts, Twitter.

That is All.

And THAT'S...All she wrote.

Do it Yourself. ALL of it...

This production mentality is new to me. But after I realized how much raw work force and raw pencil mileage and hour time shifts animators and designers like Thomas Romain put into one of his greatest animated works, Oban Star-Racers, upon looking through his web account galleries and Oban Star-Racers art book,

After discovering all that marathoning and toning of work as a production method, I figured "What the hell" and said "Why not?". Why NOT draw all that for one of my projects as well, or at least try to. It's a bit painful to work that hard. But hard work hurts, especially when you're out of shape. BUT, I realize even in Japan, they don't necessarily task one artists with only 1 or 2 things. Some artists are tasked with 5 to 7 job titles, or more.

That's the Gobelins method. Gobelins is the hardest art school in the world to get into, even harder than Calarts. And with good reason! They generally teach you how to make short animated films entirely by yourself, with very little assistance. Cuz that's how they RHOWL in France, apparently.

In France, being a polymath is encouraged in young students of the arts. We're genuinely encouraged to specialize in the animation arts over here. And unless you're Rob Schrab, it's more of the same here.

I am okay with that. The lower the film's budget is, the fewer the amount of people working on it will  be

Social Media: Does it Make Us MORE PRODUCTIVE or LESS PRODUCTIVE

I'm going to have to go with "It makes us less productive".

Every time I shut off my social media, I'm 10 times MORE productive.

Everytime my social media is on I don't get enough done, as I am responding to social media submissions and inquiries from other people and companies all day.

Social media doesn't make us "LAZY", as it often makes us work, just not at our jobs. We end up focusing our work on our social media activity.

Good thing your Twitter account lets you disable it for around 30 days, until you log back in or it gets permanently deleted.

Permanent account deletion isn't the problem. It isn't the solution to higher productivity.

But TEMPORARY account deletion is a great solution to working harder on projects at the office.

MLK Day

Watching KING on the Centric Channel. Getting caught up on my history.

My god, it's such a heartbreaking film. It doesn't spare any details.

I cried quite a bit around the end of that movie.

Best of the Best: 10 Years, 1 Decade "You're Living With Your Parents and You're 35 YEARS OLD. You're a bunch of BANKS, that I'd love to ROB."

My Best Creative Work took me 10 years, or 1 decade to "complete", but technically it's not completed. It's going to take at least ANOTHER 10 YEARS to see any Serious Professional Closure. That's the year 2024, for those not keeping up.

My SECOND Best Creative Work, my nonfiction books, took 14 YEARS to complete, and it too is still primarily a work in progress.

I'm not even half way done with these projects, and I spent nearly 15 years on both of them, often working on both projects at the same time.

Unless you worked equally hard for as equally long of an amount of time on YOUR project, don't even TRY crawling up to me and grabbing this limelight, bitch.

Quality Service Guarantee: No Little Girls Allowed

If there's one thing I can guarantee about my comics and literary stories, it would have to be I'll never put little or teen girl characters in my story, or other lame JAPanese gay assed cliches and bullshit like that. I know I hate it when creators throw in little girl characters just to get more readers, so I don't allow that in my stories.

Regular Show

Demand for Young Artists would be nice, but it Ain't Gonna Happen, hence none of us are gonna ever be happy:....Better off Dead....

The truth is this. All the dead artists out there sell at a higher rate than the majority of living ones. It's been like that since the 1700s or earlier.

Why the 2000 Suck Ass Compared to the 1990s....

First of all there's too many broads trying to get into the media business. It's no longer the boys club it should be.

You totally can't cop a feel off some broads like you used to!

I LIKE Obama. But I am No Fan of his Job and Education Policy

Under the Obama Administration, it's been more difficult to find employment and payment with the Obama Administration in charge than it has been with almost any other presidency.

If Obama is president, EXPECT TO be out of school and unemployed...

Obama's Job statistics suck. He's not going to get ANYONE hired who isn't already working. Sorry Obama.

Obama's track record with finding people money, employment, education, and Jobs, is Horrible. ALMOST as bad as that of Time Warner and Cartoon Network/Adult Swim.

Bottom line to all this?

Obam? What of him? He got HIMSELF a job, and that's about it.

I'm  getting REAL sick of Obameconomics.

As much as I hated Bushes presidency, there were good things that came with it that Obama never offered, well the first term anyway.

At least when GW Bush was president during his first presidency, I had a job, at a supermarket for a year and  a half, during GW Bush's first term. Obama has no such bragging rights. I had a job under the Bush Administration. At a local grocery store. Oh did I love that job. in 2000 and 2001.

No such bright opportunities exist today. That job I had might have been simple, but it was a job. Now I live in a zoo.

Brand New Hot of the Sketchpad Art: "BLACK MAGIC"

"Some Kinda' Black Magic"

The Secret of My Success....

The "Secret" of my success....is....

And so the job search continues

Been posting my resume on a few job search sites. Getting some calls back, mostly from companies that are insurance sales" or whatever, and who generally aren't legit companies. You type their return number into a Google search and lots of not so good things come up, like "scam" claims or lawsuits toward the company or whatever. Always I.D. the potential "employer" work numbers that inquire into your resume. Simply google the number that phoned your cell or home phone.

Banished....Forever.

I don't know why I SHOULD say this publicly, but both Adult Swim and YouTube fired me by perma  banning both my main accounts recently. They've BEEN conspiring to do something like this against me for a long time. Loyalty of users means next to nothing to them unfortunately,  but they have themselves to blame for the loyalty betrayals. Not the fans. Their fans are nothing BUT loyal, and yet they continually take us for granted. Best of luck without me. Not really. I'd love to watch them both  fall flat on their faces once word gets out of what's really going on with them.

Within what was pretty much exactly the same span of time on both sites, within one or two weeks of dismissal from each site. Both Adult Swim and YouTube fired me around the same time...For the reasons they kick a lot of people off those sites: Telling fanboys/girls to go fuck themselves, and uploading anime....

I'm pretty much moving onto greener pastures for the most part. Not really much of a choice.

Poverty and its affect on your worldview

There are times when my own impoverished way of living eats away at my spirits and psyche. It can be pretty demoralizing, depressing, and fatiguing.

Having no money to myself eats away at my well being, my general confidence, and my genuine concern for the lives and careers of you, or anyone else out there that may potentially be reading this blog entry.

Not earning any money is inCREDibly disheartening. I don't see why I should bother with such hard work if no one's going to send me a paycheck for it.

The Anime and Manga Cartooning and Animation World May Have To Wait Just A Little Bit Longer for my Magnum Opus....I got inquiries to take care of....

I'm still pursuing animation, comics, and co-productions and modern media. But I've gotten some job offers.

I MIGHT (emphasis on MIGHT) be working for Silicon Valley. The guy offering me the potential positions sounded serious about it. And yes, he does in fact live and work out of Silicon Valley.

So I'll be busy negotiating and interviewing, to say the least.

To Be Employed...

If YTube kills your monetization....

If they disable monetization on your old account, simply start a new anonymous account under a new email and pseudonym, and continue going about your business. As long as you don't get perma banned on your Google ID you CAN keep coming back.. The new accounts people create now, their monetization has become considerably more democratized than previous incarnations of the y-tube website. To that much, I suppose I should credit youtube for making the right decision there.

Want Extra Credit? Want your own animated series and/or anime? There is a way, but you may not believe it...

A whole hella lotta kids online be poppin off at they jaws asking questions "How do I get my own Japanese anime show?" "How do I sell a series to Japan?" "How do I create my own (Japanese) anime?"

Now that I have some experience putting my stuff out there, I've had time to  gauge the industry, and its system, and how it really works.

If that is what you REALLY want, you need to familiarize yourself with Moebius of Paris, France. (RIP).

Young? You're a teenager you say? You don't have any life experience, you say? You don't know who the heck Moebius is, you say? That's cool, but you should really read up.

Moebius is so influential he's compared to artists such as Osamu Tezuka, Hayao Miyazaki, and Katsuhiro Otomo. But is he Japanese? No. He's French, but he's influenced MANY artists in Japan, France, and America indirectly, often while never being credited or noted for it. He wasn't in it for the fame. And neither should you be.

That's what you want to go for. You're "proper and appropriate" series name or pseudonym credit on some American or Japanese "paid" TV Show, Movie, or Book/Comic credit may as well be your epitaph. That would mean you're FINISHED working. Not STARTED! You don't NEED fame or credit. You need influence. It will help you make contacts in ways you cannot foresee yet. Especially if you're young and don't know how the industry works.

Did Moebius influence Blade Runner and Akira? Yes. Were Ridley Scott and Katsuhiro Otomo studying nearly EVERY PAGE of his books verbatim when they filmed their classic, hyper-detailed science fiction cinema that's now a part of history? Of course. They borrowed a LOT of elements from Moebius!

Was Moebius ever credited on the DVD. Nope!

Only Moebius and those influenced by him know Moebius influenced those influenced by him.

This may sound weird,  but if you want to influence Japanese anime, stop trying to pitch ideas to Japan.

Start a website. Build your OWN buzz. The internet allows your artwork to be seen  by artists and directors and producers and animations studios around the world. If Moebius was of this generation, I'm sure he'd be going that route the same way young artists do. But older artists don't use the web to promote themselves. People already know who THEY are. But they sure as hell don't know who you or I are. And that's where you (the promising young new artists of animation and comics theory and execution come in.

Honestly, you should WANT to get your costume or background design or character designed "ripped off" and borrowed by Japan.

How shall I describe this process, and how amazing it feels. Hmmm. How to do that.

It feels like seeing a photo on the internet of a Japanese Statue Monument, built in your likeness.....

Only it doesn't and will probably never have your full or whole name on the plaque in front of it.

Well, until posthumously of course.

Don't expect people to write articles about you and you're achievement either. Many of the best artists NEVER appear in the press. LIKE MEEEE!!!

Know what I'm saying?

Get Around Town Town, I get Around....

It's 1 a.m., Just got back from a night out driving around in a taxicab. We drove out of the neighborhood and he stopped for me at the local convenience stop, where I bought a prepaid green dot Visa debit card for myself (I splurged a little), Then I drove to a road in Sanford and drove back home.

Cab fair cost almost three times as much as the Prepaid Debit purchase and deposit itself. Man,  getting around town's expensive. I even drove past Doug's house without him knowing it. Man, he never has any lights on. Not even a garage light. The whole street is dark as Satan's throat. Must think he was a ninja in a past lifetime or something. Oooh! Spooky! I hate ghosts. But at least I get to spy on them now, so it's not all bad.

Today, I won the Anti-Hacker Nobel Peace Prize. Awarded to me by the government. Sort of.

Don't MAKE ME, FUCK. YOUR. ASS. UP OLD MAN!!!!! I will FUCK YOUR ASS UP. GOT IT OLD MAN!!!!!!

Uh oh. Mono is angry. THIS isn't going anywhere good. I drew a choreography storyboard of Mono confronting his decrepit, abusive, deadbeat, alcoholic father.

We've all  been there!....Haven't we?

Based on a True Story...My True Story. Yeah, kinda beat him up actually.
