Legendary Createur SHOJI KAWAMORI's Latest Visionary Anime Work

http://the-fool-project.jp/

Does it live up to it's title? Let's find out!

EEEEEKKK!!! Ah BUG!!!!!!

Bang Zoom! Resumes....

Welcome back, Bang Zoom! I'm glad you have decided to stop hating on YouTube and gone  back to being cool again. I don't know if the "RIP anime" thing was a prank (as it didn't really feel like the usual ("vibe of anime cool" I get from them), but on a personal level, I'm glad that controversy finally seems to be calming down a bit.

We'll be in touch...

Speaking of Zoom! I gotta say, aside from IGPX being on Toonami, which surprisingly they haven't spoken much about, one of my other favorite Zoom titles of many was always Heat Guy J, a show created by Satelight anime studio (and Thomas Romain-friend) Shoji Kawamori. I haven't ever met Shoji Kawamori before (has anyone?), but I met Thomas Romain online through Twitter, and he's a really swell guy. Currently according to an email he sent me, Thomas and Shoji Kawamori are headed for Japan Expo over in France. Wish I were there.

How-To [Not] Succeed

Books, Articles, Tutorials, Magazines. School. Teachers. College. Secrets To Success.

Here's the thing. Everything that people want? Everything people want to do? Everything they want to attain?

Forget The Advice and Education You've Been Given. Live From Day to Day.

Discover Your OWN PATH. Because no one will teach it to you even if you wanted them to.

You can't TEACH success and how to succeed.
You can't TEACH how to be rich and famous
You can't TEACH how to draw or write

You DO THESE THINGS
You ARE AND CAN BE THESE THINGS

But if success, prestige, status, wealth, superstardom and power were a science and not an art, wouldn't everyone already BE successful if there really WAS "secrets of success" to discover.

Success is nothing less than a life journey which one must travel primarily solo and alone.

It's only lonely at the top because no one knows anything about it, or how to attain.

Other than perhaps hard work and circumstance (aka LUCK).

How To Draw Gotham style Cities - Tutorial (Perhaps Only) 1 - Form and understructure

There are 2 main Great Cities of Cinema Production Design, if you don't Count Moebius, and the films Blade Runner and Metropolis. 2 Cities which all other animation cities are based on:

Neo-Tokyo (Katsuhiro Otomo) and Gotham City (Batman/Bruce Timm / Ted Blackman Mythos)

Today I am going to demonstrate the essential form of a Gotham-style City.

It's all about building and skyscraper proportions.

Though it does contain divergence, a cities not a city without buildings of parallel height.

If you want to draw cityscapes, start with a pattern of elongated half full rectangles, like rectangular bars.

This is a back-ground foreground trick. This is one way to create the illusion of structure:

DRAW SOMETHING RESEMBLING THIS:

I drew it freehand, but if you're drawing REAL drawings of cities (not sketches, doodles, and warmups like mine here) you really need to use rulers.

Pen and Ink Quick Sketch. Back up to the Usual Kartoon Hi-Jinks. Is it manga?

Those Crappy Little Details You Always Nod Off With

You know, just because I'm technically a blue blood British-French Royal Disowned Descendant doesn't mean it's going to buy me a house (let alone a mansion or castle), get me a TV show, earn me a fortune, (far as I can tell, I'm headed to the poor house when I'm 50) or even earn me anyone's respect. It probably won't even make me famous. Political Power in the International Community (which is considerably more DIFFICULT to "steal" from me than my face, hair, glasses, or general likeness, which apparently I've always had but was never aware of until last year) doesn't signify anything to the family I currently live with. I have no real clout. Half the time no one cares, and the other half assume you're krazy for evensaying such a thing. That is the reality of being a blue blood in the southeastern United States. Nobody Cares. And you can't really expect anyone to care either

While I'm no Caligula (genius behind such chart topping classics as "FAGGOT!" and "FUCK ISLAM!"), I have done my share of foolish things. And that's saying a lot, because Caligula was a tyrant, a bully, a laughter sniper, a cyberbully and a fool. Not ONLY was he foolish enough to attempt to tyrannize, prostitute, and terrorize everyone in my own neighborhood. He had a pair of BALLS on him, just like Bryan Johnston, but eventually someone (hint: it was me) cut them off and threw his ass in jail. But before that happened, he even had the blind audacity to challenge me at some of the places I still have THE MOST POWER (DeviantART, YouTube, AND the Adult Swim Boards. ALL of which he knew about by hacking and cyberstalking me the same way Hitler did.) First there was he Rise and fall of Hitler and the Nazi Party, which was secretly encouraged by the Deep South KKK, and Caligula's kitten burning and torturing Central Florida "Empire". I'm glad I put a stop to all that. It was QUITE psychotic. But it's a known fact Hitler and Caligula were both power hungry, BOTH SOCIOPATHIC TYRANTS in their little communities, and had both aided and abetted eachothers simultaneous secret plot to overthrow MY real power. I don't think they really knew who they were messing with, otherwise they'd still be trying to pull that "neighborhood terrorist" bullshit, today, 2,000 days later.

And people say I "need a job". I do have a job. Bustin criminals.

And I'm technically not a Politician. I'm a writer. I'm the descendant of a Monarchy, but the adoption which I went through removed me from that lifestyle so much with no one being the wiser, no one takes ME seriously. Everyone worships celebrity in America. Not royalty.

I Have Good News About ONE OF My Enemies...He's HISTORY...

You know, I never thought I'd say this, but Bryan is history! Hallelujah! He's no longer a threat or a problem. Even if he weren't really in jail right now (which he probably is), regardless of whether he's changed or not, he's no longer a threat to my health and well being, or career for that matter. I don't know WHAT happened to him. He's actually kept a very low profile. It almost seems like he's staying Away From Computers, as he knows he can't beat me with them anymore. Ho well. All the better for me. His old tricks (facial mirroring, parody, brute force, bullying, cyberbullying, spying, corporate espionage, mob frenzies, ratting people out to the feds and journalists, public humiliation of others, cyberbullying, gaslighting, compulsive lying, name cloning, internet biological family lookups, social engineering, slander, disguise, witch hunting, modern day red scare, racism and bigotry, sociopathology, deception, not dieting, projection, hard drive and website hacking, cloning, speech and linguistic imitation. You name it. He's probably tried to use all of it to cheat) are all no longer effective on me, and probably almost no one else. He had a lot of tricks in his bag.

I haven't checked the actual stats of this blog in MONTHS. But apparently....this blog actually has daily readers and an audience now.....I should update more...Wish I had the time

Is it too cliche to complain about your in-laws crying babies in your house 24/7?

I wonder why that is....

Why is it always the people at the top of the industry that are "anti-careerists".

America is probably a careerist culture. It wasn't until I made friends overseas when I learned American careerism is often frowned upon internationally.

However, it is rather easy to proclaim yourself to be an "anti-careerist" when you're already an industry power player. Talk about not being aware of what you actually have in reality.

That's like Bill Gates taking a vow of poverty or something. Kind of weird. All the people I grew up knowing were careerists. My friends and everyone in my family. It wasn't until recently that I encountered the whole "anti-careerism" thing...

Look How CROWDED It's Getting Up in This Mug

It's becoming a crowded frat party up in this mug. And it's all annoying motherfuckers I don't even know and have never met. Nor do I care about any of them. Or their LIVES. Or their FRIENDS. Or their SOCIAL LIVES. Or their SEXUALITY. Or their FANART. Or their WRITING. I'm busy enough as  it is. I don't need "new frenemies" (aka losers).

I honestly don't care about YOU.. There's simply TOO MANY OF YOU OUT THERE TO CARE ABOUT OR NOTICE ALL OF YOU. EVEN if you all know who I am, which you definitely do, otherwise you wouldn't be online....You'd be Facebooking or writing in your stupid little EMO DIARY, or WHATEVER the fuck it is people like you do...Goodbye FREAKS.

The Number 1 Mistake Most Females Make in Assuming Things About a Relationship With Me...That I'll come to you....

Is they actually assume I'm going to approach them. That NEVER happens in my relationships.

I only went out with Nicole because she was the only girl who approached ME. NOT the other way around.

The ladies read WAY TOO MUCH into this kind of thing. I don't just LOVE the ones who approach me. I'm INFATUATED with them...

In this sense, I'm like just about every other INTP: I don't do the approaching.

Every Dance is the Sadie Hawkins Dance, for me anyway.

Let's Get Down Tah Business!

I used to think comics was about standing out, doing your own thing, being an individual, being yourself. But you would be surprised how eager to conform so many young artists in the comic and manga industry are. It's like they have no real drive, or ambition. Just do what someone (a more famous artist or editor or producers) orders them to do, then get the hell out of the room/studio and go home. Do what they're told, then leave. I don't function that way. And because of that, because I do show signs of individuality, because I am a character with a personality of sorts, I was chastised and penalized for it. Kind of a rude awakening. I got in a lot of trouble for essentially being too bright and loud and talkative in comparison to other artists. It was a shame realizing the comic book industry works like that much of the time. Like every other business where dollars are worshipped, and cocky assed snot nosed punk kid superstars get their asses kissed and licked, instead of kicked and handed back to them. It's called the status quo.

How to Write A Script

I've found an efficient way to outline and organize the stories for my scripts I write. Now that I've already written 1 complete script, the task actually seems to be getting easier.

I start by looking in my stories for a solid Beginning, Middle, and Ending.

The I create and Build a system in the story of my script. Each scene becomes a document, so I leave myself with some room to work and re-arrange my stories, scenes, and scripts. That way instead of my scenes being bullet-point sentences, they're software documents that give me room to work.

Scripts are like houses. You have to Build them from Ground Zero, and approach their construction compartmentally.

Stop bugging me to get a "wife"....

Marriage = HELL

Mmmmmm! That's good cigarette(s)...

And I hear it's GOOD FOR YOU, too!!! Perfect combo!!!

So YouTube Upload-Engineering Aside.....I LOVE Algorithms.....

As a matter of fact, I invented a few of my own. That's right, I toggle and dabble in engineering algorithms.

I have a whole network of commercials and shows automated and algorithmicized on my PC's hard drive. It automatically shuffles and plays my favorite anime clips, promos, and episodes for me. Without me having to lift a finger. For hours on end, if I want it to. Yeah, I'm a genius. Of course.

I've set up a whole Master Control Room and online TV Network, on my own little PC Laptop. Very, VERY cool

Dethday

Many years ago today something grew
inside of your mother...
That thing was you

YOU

YOU YOU YOU YOU

Did she scream did she cry
Only those that are born are the ones that
Get to die

One more year closer to dying
Rotting organs ripping grinding
Biological discordance
Birthday equals self abhorrence

Years keep passing aging always
Mutate into vapid slugs
Doctor gives a new perscription
Bullet in a fucking gun

One more year closer to dying
Plastic surgeons fuel the lying
You forget why you came in here
Your mind rots with every New Year

RSVP PLEASE
For the DETH of thee
You have little time
And you're running out of life

Happy Birthday
You're gonna die

Now you're old and full of hatred
Take a pill to masturbatred
Children point to you and scream
Because they will become that thing

One more year of further suffering
There's no point of fucking bluffing
Open up your DETHDAY present
It's a box of fucking nothing

RSVP PLEASE
For the DETH of thee
You have little time
And you're running out of life

DIE DIE
DETHDAY
BIRTHDAY

The Tale of the NorthWest Moving Zax and the Southeast Moving Zax....

One day the NorthWest Moving Zax, on the way to its destination, CROSSED PATHS WITH the SouthEast Moving Zax, and once they met, neither one would budge....For the next 20 YEARS.

Despite hurricanes, a large grasshopper infestation in the suburbs, violent crime, chaos and lawlessness in the streets, Fraud-based Witch Hunts, Madmen dominating mainstream broadcasts, The Perfect Storm, Power Hungry Police States, and Road Construction, The two Zax CONTINUED TO block eachother's paths. Each one refusing to get out of the other's way, and refusing to let the other move in the direction it had previously hoped to go.

And it STAYED THAT WAY, INDEFINITELY. Forever. Zax were FAMOUS for not learning lessons from ANYTHING. That was how The Zax are.

You don't think it's THAT easy to WIN, do you?

DO YOU??!!!

Jason Really Does Kick Butt..

YOU ROCK, JASON, My very old friend.

Step into my Lair - Said the Spider to the Fly: The five most unlikely places one will find groupies.

TV
Message Boards
Anime
Anime Fanart Sites
Social 2.0

Truthfully? Being the highly attractive to women and girls groupie magnet that I am, I know about this sort of thing. I said I ATTRACT groupies. I didn't say I fucked em'.

Let Me Tell You. A Little Something About the History of the Internet (community)

Most newbies online know about Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and MySpace. and the web 2.0.

But before all that, back in 2001/2002 or so, for a while, there WAS a group of places online all the cool kids hung out at, BEFORE the web got so crowded.

Nowadays a lot of the most popular boards are set up by a company call Lithium, (i.e. The Adult Swim Message Boards or ASMB). Most boards are of the lithium variety, where its easier to decorate your avatar, messages, and profile.

But before all that shit, there was a thing called Voy Forums. A lot of cool people online used to go there, to sites that were run on the Voy Forums service. Spookyland, Oni Press, Celebrity Atheists. You name it!

The genuine decline of Voy Forums (mostly due to its impracticality and the fact that it was less easier to use HTML on) was a real shame.

The old fogey's like me know what i'm talking about when I bring up Voy Forums though.

It's where I made my internet debut. On the Celeb Atheists Forum, as "jared", and on Spookyland, as "Noomoo", and later, "Noom"...Where people both loved and hated me.

Damaging Injuries

I know people beat up on me emotionally, but sometimes I'm a real life punching bag....Afterall....

Growing up, I got hit in the forehead with a baseball at full speed while practicing, almost attacked by a shark, was choked, slapped and beat up by 2 different girls, fell off a ledge to hit the back of my head on a wooden block (and survived), electroshocked for ECT "Treatment", manhandled by hospital security guards, hit with sandbags in the head, injected with needles for 20 blood tests, bled in my stool with hemorrhoids, and broke one of my knuckles punching a wall, then (most painful of all) had it snapped back into place with no anesthesia.

M. Night Shyamalan and the Avatar Fanboy Press Hype "Whitewashing" Fiasco

I have an opinion about that, and guess what! It actually doesn't have something to do with SKIN COLOR for once. Now imagine that and SHUT THE FUCK UP AS you listen to me like usual: Besides, Avatar isn't "ASIAN", dude(s). Far from it. It's an American show with some post done in Asia. Get your facts straight. Aang has WHITE SKIN for christ sake, assholes. Figures fucking voice-actor-wannabe Japanophiles would want him to be "turning Japanese"...

Aaaanyway. As recent headlines and message board tabloids show:

Few directors become as hated by the fan and media community as the little guys turned big.

Few directors are as resented and envied as the directors starting off with low production budgets, but grandiose values from the getgo, that increase over time from film to film. Fiascos like that one reveal a lot about how much stress a director or filmmaker is willing to tolerate in the name of making movies on a larger scale than what they started off with. But technically, they are doing the right thing. That's a normal natural thing for a filmmaker to want to do is to push the  boundaries of production values and budget (and as some critics and haters would add: "Ego and superficiality") in an effort to conduct business itself on a grander scale. A Scale of Grandeur. Super 8? The Sixth Sense? These are omens for things to come, not the cookie cutter mold some director should blindly follow for 20 films in a row, without any real reason.

TECHNICALLY, that is how Hollywood works WHEN it's healthy. People hate it, YOU hate it because he's doing what YOU CAN'T DO, and PROBABLY CAN'T do to SAVE YOUR LIVES, on some level. Which is to say make an actual popcorn movie that captures all the drama, suspense, awe, and wonder in the cinematic universe that's made with heart, not just budget. The Last Airbender was George Lucas's THX. Oblivion is Star Trek. Not bad at all, in reality,  but it's obvious the persons envisioning such ambitious Hollywood projects are clearly dealing with some transition period issues in their careers, which dare I say, is normal to end up as a chaotic period, whether it's the bad publicity or the angry fans.

Most little guys want to be big...someday.

It's been that way ever since George Lucas made Star Wars and built ILM to MAKE Star Wars to begin with, on the budget his earlier films funded.

Or Spielberg founding Amblin.

Or Walt Disney and Osamu Tezuka using every penny their early works made to launch careers in animation, to put into budgets of future bigger, and better films. These men are all good with production values on a level of ingenuity and appeal alien to most other storytellers and producers, in the States especially. In Japan and France they can create that vibe, often for no budget whatsoever (for free, on their own dime), and with little to no audience starting off with. That's how they roll in Japan and France. It's idealistic, but the production values and camera mise en scene back that idealism up. On paper anyway.

Out of Retirement, Finally...

Why WOULD you want to move from Kentucky to Los Angeles...or Tokyo....?

They're awfully SPOILED there, maybe to the point of being sheltered and stuck up....About people like YOU. They have a shallow kind of popularity and lack of real actual work about their aura you'll never know.

Yeah, I know, but it does look enticing...on the surface anyway. They wouldn't last very long in MY shoes.

Social Media: VERDICT? I LOVE IT.

I love all social media online (Twitter, Google+, YouTube, LinkedIn) all of which I have accounts on...

I love all social media sites...

EXCEPT....Facebook.

Out of all my "influential" social media outlets....This BLOG is....

The least influential one of them ALL, right next to my online comics and artwork.

Whhaaaaaaa........! Marriage??? Are you for REAL???

No I'm not gonna MARRY YOU, The Great and Powerful Trixie....!

Just, no.

I did all of my recent drawings on my OLD drafting table. NOT my new one. The all black table is my lucky table. It's my lucky color, where some serious art mojo happens.

I've had the table for 10 years, but it spent a lot of unneeded time in my garage for a while, UNTIL I realized I did all my best work on that table, so I dug it out of the pile of furniture and trash in the garage, dusted it off, re-assembled it, cleaned it up, put some papers and art supplies on it, now it's good as new.

Comics (Roughs) (revised)

Notes from the author: These three pages account for approximately half of one page of my continuity dynamics, where I do things like use miniature thumbnail drawings to map out the pacing and dynamics of the storytelling. This is a new technique to me, that I designed for myself. I drew a few pages, comprised of 12 panel thumb layouts on each page. Then I blow them up by re-sketching each thumbnail drawing to have it fill up a full up a full size horizontal page, the edit each 2 panels into 1 page on my computer. Voila. Finished roughs for my manga-comic series. I'm picking up a few tricks along the way, like not making it the same shot and camera angle in each panel, and using a diverse range of camera shots and cuts to enhance the illusion of the pages being more cinematic and full of activity and space.

Hmmmm....

Began practicing again....

The original looks a lot better and more highly rendered.

Scanner sucks, and doesn't really do it justice. Still, I'm very happy with the paper version....

I don't even know WHY I'm on this local dating site....I'm NOT gonna FIND ANYBODY!

All these girls' profiles look the same. *sigh* So depressed.

So there I was in art school.....

I was seated in class, not paying attention to anything around me, sketching in my notebook, listening to the professor's lectures, taking notes, head down and such, just kind of enjoying myself. Ah, good, no one's noticed me. Then I decide "You know Jay, you better lighten up". I'm disregarding my surroundings. But then the professor starts giving his lecture. Then I go into humorous mode, making humorous comments to humor my old professor, when I notice every time I make a joke...

Is that laughter I hear coming from the auditorium somewhere? I think. But at this point I'm ignoring it. I don't know who's laughing every time I tell a joke or make a humorous comment. The class continues.

You know, you've got to overcome your shyness, Jay. Open up, let people into your life. You are in college after all.

The lecture continues, and so does the laughter at my jokes I don't realize is closer than I think.

I then crane my neck to look around the class, and it's a class full of people like myself, kids my age. I also notice there's 2 twin  girls with pretty girl faces and long brunette hair in all black sitting right next to me, one on each side of me. THEY are the ones who have  been laughing at all my jokes. They're INCREDIBLY attractive looking. That's odd, is this moment even REAL?? I think to myself. Girls have never went out of their way to sit on each side of me before. 2 beautiful twin girl classmates, sitting on each side of me, are they....FLIRTING with me?? When did I become a superstar anyway, I think to myself. But what do they want? I think. That's weird. They're WORSHIPPING ME and my comments, I CAN'T be THIS lucky. I think to myself quietly. I just can't! Where are they going with this, I wonder. I've never been in a situation like this before. Is this what living on your own is like??

Fin.

Been negligent with this blog....

Mostly because my webcomics and online broadcasting careeer really seem to be lifting off.

Been getting a very eye-raising amount of free P.R. from Google and CN. A blessing in disguise.

Things are going well for me lately. I can't exactly complain...

Saturday, June 1, 2013

Whaaaaaah! Why does nobody like me. Why am i so unpopular. Why do people give me such a hard time!

But MOST importantly, how come the doves and crows can never be and have NEVER  BEEN seen together, Mommy?... Mommy??

I'm just a kid. I have no wisdom, so these truths evade me.

The Paradox of Female Friends

I am WAY too flirtatious with females. Every female friend I've had (friend, NOT girlfriend) I've tended to drive away by making compulsive romantic gestures at just about all of them. I think part of it is, guys weren't really made to have a platonic older relationship with women. The question of romance will always be there in most male suspects.
